Lizz Fields attended Creative & Performing High Scholl (CAPA) in South Philly and began singing background for Jill Scott as well as performing in many of the well-known artist venues on the east coast (Black Lily, Zanzibar Blue, The Wetlands and Freedom Theatre). Following on from the highly praised 'Philly Soul - Music From The City Of Brotherly Love', Unisex head to Motor City, the home of the great Motown label, in search of the real soul from the city by the lake. It was almost 20 years ago that the Belleville Three - Derek May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson first sexed up disco, Kraftwerk and concrete to breed techno. Though the music sounds like Detroit looks - a ghost future of robocops, raves and monorails - to achieve the global popularity it currently boasts, the genre had to leave town and took heed of soulful rumblings and the like around the world.
